1909 is the flagship of our cellar. I named it in memory of my dear grandfather Marco, whose name I proudly bear, born in 1909, who was a fundamental mentor for me.

From an early age he passed on to me the passion for things done well, respect for work and sacrifices that lead to important results. Grandfather Marco had a strong and decisive character, but he enchanted with his humanity, the strong values and the long stories that he brought to the family.

The characteristics of him, so distinctive, I rediscovered when tasting this masterpiece for the first time and it was immediately clear to me that it was the perfect wine to keep his memory alive.

Autochthonous Piemontese with its 17 ° of alcohol content is an unforgettable concentrate of strong emotions, to the sight, smell and taste.

It is a perfect balance between elegance and complexity, with a strong structure and intensity, unique in its organoleptic notes.

1909 won 25 prizes and awards around the world including the coveted gold medal at the Concour Mondial de Bruxelles.

The 1909 does not need a Decanter, it is sufficient to uncork it half an hour before tasting, keeping it at a temperature between 16 and 20 degrees.

The wave of emotions that are released by pouring it is immediate.

The purplish ruby red color, unique in its kind and which shows a great structure, is enchanting. By spinning this great, very dense and structured wine inside the glass, the classic arches will form around the glass, synonymous with a very high alcohol content, and all the aromas will begin to release with great intensity.

Chocolate, balsamic, tobacco and an intense note of vanilla due to aging for 36 months in special French oak barrels. Intense persistent aromas will accompany a real sensory experience.

The sensation in the taste buds is unique and almost contrasting.

You will feel a very structured dry but incredibly velvety wine at the same time for a pleasant sensation of balance and great harmony on the palate.

To preserve the quality of the wine we have also innovated the type of bottling.

The bottles used, strictly dark to avoid exposure to light, are unique: 30cm in height, 1.2 kg in weight! The special corks we use, despite being made of natural, organic and recyclable material, are not made of cork (solely responsible for the deterioration of the wine in the bottle).

Therefore, no fear, 1909 will never taste like a cork and each bottle can be safely preserved over time.
